Position Summary:

JF&CS is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and proactive leader to work with adults with developmental disabilities and autism in a community residential setting.  Residence Managers provide direct care, case management, and administrative support to participants and the program. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with families, nursing staff, and the management team to ensure that participants are developing independent living skills and connections in the community. The Residence Manager oversees all residential operations including meal planning and grocery shopping, activity planning, facilitating weekly house meetings, and individual skill training and assistance in areas of independent living. The Residence Manager is also responsible for the training, supervision, and evaluation of the program's Live-In Mentors. The Residence Manager is an integral part of the residential team with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of the people that we serve.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure all requirements are met for GAFC, and/or JF&CS regulations. This includes but is not limited to writing daily service logs, daily goal tracking, weekly client updates, incident reporting, and ensuring client files and records are kept up to date.
  • Attend required staff meetings, supervisions and professional development.
  • Communicate with the entire staff team, nursing team, and supervisor around participant issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Transporting participants in company vehicles (up to 15 passenger vans) and your own vehicle is required.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to pass within the first 30 days of employment)
  • MAP certification (or the ability to pass within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • May include lifting and supporting up to 50 lbs
  • May be required to bend, stoop, and kneel
  • May be required to lift participants in and out of wheelchairs, beds, bathtubs, and vehicles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Intermediate Skills in Outlook and Word and basic skills in Excel or willingness to develop such skills within 90 days of hire.
