Position Summary:

The Disabilities Resource Network (DRN) Coordinator helps individuals/family members with disabilities learn about resources, programs, and benefits. The DRN Coordinator provides information and referrals over the phone, via email, and at vendor fairs and speaking engagements. This position also conducts outreach and collaborates with the Jewish and local disabilities communities. This is a part time position (approximate hours Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assess and research the requestor's need of services or programs then assemble and forward/provide the information to the requestor
  • Respond to all requests for information in a timely manner with resources and agencies in the greater Boston, North Shore and Worcester communities.
  • Continually research, develop and maintain resource and referral information that meet the needs of the requestors, i.e. individuals with disabilities or mental illness, families/caregivers and/or professionals
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the CJP disability network of providers,
  • Market and be an ambassador for all CJP disability network programs, including ensuring online databases and resources are up to date, attending community marketing events, vendor fairs and speaking engagements, and creating and facilitating the creation of marketing materials (such as flyers, letters to area resources/clergy).
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely electronic client records.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required with at least 3 years' experience working in an outreach position. Past experience can include professional and/or lived experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experiences in services and needs of people with disabilities is required. 
  • Familiarity with disability and mental health resources, specifically in the greater Boston area
  • Awareness of Jewish agencies that serve people with disabilities including religious, social/recreation and educational services is also required. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, outlook, power point) and comfort with internet navigation.
  • Valid MA driver's license
