Position Summary:

JF&CS is a human service agency with a mission to improve the lives of vulnerable people. In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS) is seeking a In-Home Behavior Therapist that takes initiative and values making an impact by collaborating with families to improve communication and have healthier lives. These services are offered in the client's residence in a collaborative two-person team consisting of a In-Home Behavior Therapist and a Behavior Management Monitor (bachelors level staff). The behavior therapist will work with the behavior management monitor to implement interventions to help children improve their behavior at home by enhancing communication skills and teaching strategies for self-regulation   The IHBS program provides comprehensive intervention to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other developmental, emotional, and behavioral disabilities.

Position Details:

Full time opportunities available in our three regions: Metro Boston region (home base office is in Waltham), Northeast (office in Danvers), and Central MA (home base in Worcester). Annual, competitive salary of $48,000-$52,000 is based on education, experience & licensure. Comprehensive orientation and ongoing trainings are offered. Weekly individual clinical supervision is provided; supervision by LICSW may be possible for LCSW, LICSW, and LMHC licensure. We have generous paid time off and paid holidays, 403B match after one year, medical, dental, and vision benefits, mileage reimbursement, and many bonus plans offered!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Completion of a written functional behavioral assessment
  • Development of a focused behavior management treatment plan that identifies specific behavioral goals and measurable objectives and interventions (e.g., skills training, reinforcement systems, removal of triggering stimuli, graduated exposure to triggering stimuli, etc.), that are designed to diminish, extinguish, or improve specific behaviors related to a youth's mental health condition(s)
  • Documented observations of the youth in the home, school, and community
  • Structured interviews with the youth/family and identified collaterals about behavior(s)
  • Development of safety plan
  • Provide ongoing modeling and coaching for caregivers
  • Work closely with the behavior management monitor to ensure the behavior management plans are implemented as developed, and to make any necessary adjustments to the plan

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Human Services, Education, or related field required
  • Experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents with behavioral disorders and their families required
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team structure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and proof of valid auto registration, auto insurance, and driver's license
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply (but not required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
