Position Summary:

The Facilities Manager - Residential Programs oversees and coordinates all areas of property and fleet management for Residential Services for people with disabilities at JF&CS.  This includes several locations that are owned and leased by the agency. The Facilities Manager must communicate and collaborate with all members of the Residential team, external landlords and local Housing Authorities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversight and Management facilities maintenance and repair for all residential sites. Including coordination with landlords of sites leased to provide the above property management where contract is in place, i.e. Combined Jewish Philanthropy.
  • Fleet management of agency vehicles, including all RMV paperwork, tracking mileage, repair needs, accident reporting and communication with agency insurance company and overseeing the division's compliance with agency transportation policies.
  • Coordinate furnishings for Residential Sites including the delivery and removal of all large furniture/appliances from residences, including donated furniture
  • On call duties for evenings, weekends and holidays as needed for facilities and maintenance emergencies.
  • Collaborate with residential clients, staff and parents on individual's property needs as needed.
  • Ensure properties meet all regulations including the Department of Developmental Services and Section 8/local Housing Authorities. Including all fire, alarm and sprinkler systems (if applicable), are inspected on an annual basis.
  • Ensure applicable residences meet Section 8 guidelines and will pass annual inspections. Meet Housing Authority inspectors for most Section 8 inspections as available or coordinate with Residential staff to be available.
  • Light handyman/repair work in various residential and day program sites as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least three years' experience working in residential properties
  • Experience working with disabilities a plus and/or willingness to learn
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule, nights and weekends as needed
  • Knowledge of housing and maintenance processes a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • All employees must pass all background checks
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, outlook, power point)
