Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Boston is hiring for a Coordinator in our Healthy Families program.

The Healthy Families Program Director is responsible for integration and coordination of the Healthy Families program of JF&CS and funded by Children's Trust.  The Healthy Families Program Director works closely with the Center For Early Relationships (CERS) Division Director to oversee the Healthy Families program with fidelity to the Healthy Families Massachusetts model.   The Coordinator oversees the budget, assures all training requirements are met, and plans and coordinates team meetings including team building activities, ongoing education and service delivery review.  The Healthy Families Program Director works closely with the network of community partner agencies and the Central Middlesex team to ensure quality services in accordance with the standards of Healthy Families Massachusetts and JF&CS.


Healthy Families Central Middlesex is an intensive weekly home visiting program for first-time parents 23 years of age and younger providing family advocacy and parental coaching.  Family Support Advocates/Home Visitors are trained by Children's Trust and are employed by Jewish Family and Children's Service located in Waltham.  The program goals are to prevent child abuse and neglect, support health and development of children, assist with parental education and economic self-sufficiency, promote optimal parental health and wellness, and reduce repeat teen pregnancies.  Our teamwork, training and work with families is currently being conducted with a combination of in-person home visits and virtually through Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsApp. 

Typical Duties

  • Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Healthy Families program.  Oversee service integration, data collection, budget, program and data monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide ongoing reflective support to supervisory staff working in the Healthy Families program.  Facilitate team building to promote culturally humble, responsive services within an efficient, and effective team.
  • Coordinate and implement all training for the Healthy Families staff.  Both pre-service and regular in-service trainings and orientation and yearly advanced trainings.
  • Convene meetings and document progress, ensuring that staff work together to identify and solve service delivery problems, share knowledge and skills, and develop strategies for addressing the needs of families served through the Healthy Families program.
  • Maintain records and provide reports of services delivered and program funds expended.
  • Document participation in the Healthy Families training sessions, and other activities as required by funding sources. 
  • Coordinate all activities involved with the Healthy Families America credentialing process for the Healthy Families Massachusetts program
  • Represent Healthy Families partnership at local, state, and national meetings and conferences.
  • Collaborate regularly with CERS and JF&CS staff as needed
  • Attend and participate in all relevant CERS and JF&CS staff meetings and/or committees
  • Must be familiar with Outlook, web-based databases and proficient in Microsoft Office Suites as needed to fulfill the requirements of the job.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MSW or Advanced Degree preferred
  • Administrative experience including Quality Assurance and Site Development
  • Experience providing direct service to families is highly desired
  • Strong leadership experience and training in reflective supervision and team building
  • Knowledge of infant and child development and parent- child relationships, maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect, trauma informed practice, and understanding of strength-based model
  • Experience working and collaborating in a multicultural environment with diverse families and staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Strong organizational, written and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
