Principal Duties and Accountabilities

  • Lead the new hire requisition thru onboarding process by providing exceptional customer service to candidates and hiring managers, throughout the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Communicate via email, phone, or in person with newly hired employees to ensure successful completion of all required pre-employment requirements including I-9, background, and reference checks and other background check processes as required by Department of Disability Services.
  • Continuously identify and implement ways to improve the onboarding experience.
  • Set up new employees in HRIS system / ADP
  • Run and create reports in the ADP
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and related documentation.
  • Participate in audits as necessary.
  • Prepare and facilitate the termination process and exit interviews.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees.
  • Organize events and initiatives to foster a positive and engaging work culture, enhancing employee morale and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in administrative roles, preferably within HR environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven commitment to customer service
  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Human Resources or Business Management and / or relevant work experience.
  • Experience or strong interest in a career in Human Resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
